Silk bracelet with a sterling silver slide focal impressed with runes spelling "Freya" or "Freja" - the Norse goddess associated with love, beauty and fertility.
Freja was a strong female character in Norse mythology, and for me one that really stands out. No-one could boss her around or marry her off to a "troll" just because it suited their plans. :o)
The silver is a rectangle with the runes embossed on the surface and the background given a patina to make the characters stand out. On the back are two loops to feed the silk ribbon through.
 
The softest silk wrap completes the bracelet. The ribbon ties easily, just knot it and tuck in the ends. The ribbon goes around the wrist 5-6 times. The hand dyed silk can be hand washed with a bit of soap and even ironed for a smoother look.
