A delicate sterling silver ring with twisted rope detail and Iolite gemstone is hand forged in your size.
The name iolite comes from the Greek for violet. It has also been called "water-sapphire" and "Vikings' Compass" because of its usefulness in determining the direction of the sun on overcast days, the Vikings having used it for this purpose.

Please note that due to both monitor calibrations and variety in the natural stones the colour might be slightly different from what you see on your own screen. I would call it more blue than amethyst and when the light illuminates it fully it is almost as light as lavender. You should be able to see that at the bottom of the stone in picture 2.

It's made from two sterling silver wires that have been twisted together by hand. I have hammered the wire, flattening it to make the twist stand out more and to make it more comfortable to wear. It also gives it a Celtic look. Then the setting was added and the stone chosen.
The violet / lavender  iolite stone is 6 mm in diameter.
