A mermaid inspired treasure. This is for anyone who hears the calling of the sea - who finds pleasure in unearthing broken sea shells and sand dollars on the beach.
The copper clasp is slightly curved to follow your wrist. It has been oxidized to bring out the impression of a beautiful ammonite sea shell.
I have shaped and stamped the slide by hand from recycled copper in metal clay form, then fired and polished to a high shine. The back is smooth with a loop for the ribbon secured with a tiny round plate bearing my maker's mark.
The hand dyed soft silk ribbon wraps around your wrist about 5 times. Just wrap around your wrist, knot and tuck in the ends.
