I had this large gem in my stash for a while. I didn't want to make a deep setting and cover up the intense colour of it, so I came up with a delicate vine setting that holes the stone securely but lets us see it in all its  glory as the light catches on the facets.

It doesn't hang flat against your skin but will tilt with movement allowing more chances to flash.
The stone is 14 by 14 mm - cushion cut to the front and a culet to the back as a standard diamond cut.
The leaves and vines wrapped around the stone is fine silver. The bail and 18" chain are sterling silver.
